Development of Digital Platforms and Applications for the Revival of Traditional Sports and Games

During the period of 04-08 August 2022 World Ethnosport Confederation (WEC) carried out the second Learning-Training Teaching (LTT) activity of the above-mentioned project in Alanya, Turkey with the participation of the young people and youth workers from Turkey, Norway, Lithuania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Spain, and Hungary.

The staff of the TtB Association participated in the project alongside other teams of the partner and coordinating organizations. The date of the LTT 2 was chosen intentionally in order to discuss the results of the first intellectual output (IO1) of the project and at the same time to continue the work on the digital platform. The teams researched the digital tools and applications that would be beneficial to include in the platform so that future end users and organizations of the platform will benefit from them. The issues and challenges of the internet and digitalism were also the central topics during the activity and each team was presented with different solutions and approaches. All outputs were converted to digital data and shared with the project partners in order to use while the project was ongoing.

After the LTT2 activity, the second Transnational Project Meeting (TPM2) of the project was organized where the partner organizations discussed the current status of the project, reflected on the challenges and updated the timetable of the project. The dates of the future activities were planned considering all the details such the as ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, entry requirements, etc.

During the period of 12-23 May 2022 World Ethnosport Confederation (WEC) carried out the first Learning-Training Teaching (LTT) activity of the above-mentioned project in Istanbul, Turkey with the participation of young people and youth workers from Turkey, Norway, Lithuania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Spain, and Hungary.

TtB Association was represented by Rashad Naghiyev and Amin Amini, who with the other participants worked on planning the digital platform and database for the revival of traditional sports and games.

Additionally, during LTT1 of the project, the participants contributed to the first intellectual output (IO) of the project with the support of the trainer. Thereby, they made researched the traditional sports and games of their countries and added them to the digital output of the project.

Additionally, the teams visited the workshops of WEC in Istanbul to get practical knowledge of the topic. Sightseeing Istanbul via boat tour was of course one of the unforgettable positive memories for the participants.
